Welcome to CMS Symbols - Symposia on Communication for Social Development.

Held from Nov 1st to 3rd 2007, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh

This symposia was the first of its kind in India that hosted seminars, paper presentations, workshops and exhibitions to discuss and explore various aspects of development communication.

The conference aimed at creating a platform for discussing topical and vital issues in 'communication for development' including its theory, current trends, research and implementation methods, role of various stakeholders, media and methods used in development communication and more.

The conference received nearly hundred research papers from academicians, practitioners and policy makers, from twelve countries across the globe, who use communication for achieving development objectives in areas like environment, education, health and population, human rights and governance.
